To support this, we are looking for a UK People Relations Partner to work closely with local colleagues, work councils, and leadership to foster optimal collaboration.
Position Details
This 12-month interim role is based in Welwyn Garden City. The position covers the UK and Ireland, with potential support to additional countries in the North and Eastern Europe Network.
Your Responsibilities
1. Advise employees and managers on a broad range of people relations matters, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
2. Handle incoming requests with full ownership, prioritizing and implementing solutions to provide PR consultation to P&C partners, leaders, and employees with a caring approach.
3. Collaborate with Compliance on support for BEIR complaints and escalate complex issues such as hostile work environments, retaliation, or policy violations.
4. Identify root causes and trends using data to help business leaders address concerns and prevent issues through fair performance management.
5. Provide leadership on restructuring, reorganization, and engaging stakeholders to drive initiatives to completion.
6. Advise on complex performance management issues with potential legal risks.
7. Support reorganization, transformation, and strategic workforce planning exercises.
8. Manage projects related to PR responsibilities, such as restructurings and negotiations with employee representatives.
9. Participate in reviews of broader P&C programs.
10. Manage relationships with local unions, proactively addressing issues requiring information, advice, or consent.
Qualifications & Skills
* Ability to leverage technology and data for insights and decision-making.
* Passion for fostering a diverse, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment.
* Enterprise mindset and system thinking, with effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Strong consultation and influence skills across diverse stakeholders.
* Deep experience in employee and labor relations, with a good understanding of global performance management.
* Solid knowledge of local labor laws across North and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
* French language skills are a plus.
