Job Description
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Electrical Connectors Sales team on a permanent basis. The role will be responsible for the sales and growth of the PTD market in the UK & Ireland.
Ideally, candidates should have a home location within 100 miles of Northampton.
The main responsibilities for this role include:
1. Achieving revenue growth targets through solution selling.
2. Growing revenues in both new and existing businesses, with a 60:40 split between creating new business and developing existing accounts.
3. Developing a business plan aligned with the Company’s ethical values and the Global PTD Sales plan, in conjunction with Local Management.
4. Focusing on creating new accounts in the power distribution devices segment, particularly solutions for power conversion, blind mate backplane connections, and LV/MV power distribution.
5. Building and maintaining close relationships with key accounts to develop sales.
6. Collaborating with the existing team to identify and develop potential markets and customers through incoming leads.
7. Working with the Local Divisional Director and Head of Sales to set and monitor annual revenue and sales budgets.
8. Ensuring all customer communication activities are recorded in CRM for effective planning.
9. Developing and maintaining a sales pipeline.
10. Monitoring competitors’ activities within the market.
