Job overview
The Solutions Architect will work closely with technical leadership across the Digital Department, colleagues across the Trust, and key external stakeholders both regionally and nationally to lead on the development and delivery of IT technical infrastructure solutions for Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) and the wider health and care system.
The post holder will develop effective technical strategies and operational policies for promoting innovation across Oxfordshire, ensuring a coherent strategy.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include:
Provide technical consultancy to the organisation on IT infrastructure, based in professionally-gained advanced theoretical and practical knowledge.
Support governance structures across local health and care communities at a strategic level.
Establish and lead a regional Technical Design Authority working with technical teams to develop a consistent approach to the delivery of technical projects.
Develop solutions to local requirements and develop delivery plans.
Work closely with third party suppliers to deliver the best solution within financial constraints. Support contract management, learning, and overall management of the IT Infrastructure.
Liaise with senior stakeholders regionally and nationally to ensure the infrastructure plans align with wider strategy; produce strategy and policy regarding IT infrastructure.
Identify and share examples of best practice from elsewhere and feed into the local development of solutions and strategy.
Management of programme budgets to maintain the IT infrastructure for the organisation and wider community partners.
Matrix management of resources across the IT technical teams to deliver the programme of work.
