Sales Account Manager - Analytical Instruments
Location: North UK Region

Type: Full-time, Field-based (approx. 3 days/week travel)
Taylorollinson are proud to be working with a UK manufacturer of advanced analytical instrumentation. We're seeking a motivated and commercially aware individual to grow sales across the North of the UK. This role would suit a PhD-qualified scientist (Chemistry, Materials Science, Analytical Science or related) who is keen to transition into a commercial career in industry, or an experienced sales professional already working within scientific instrumentation who is looking for their next step. Full sales and product training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage sales of a portfolio of analytical instruments to academic and industrial customers.
* Build strong customer relationships, nurturing existing accounts and driving new business opportunities.
* Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to highlight instrument capabilities.
* Support customers with application expertise and guide them throughout the buying process.
* Attend and represent the company at scientific conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
* Collaborate with the marketing team on customer-focused campaigns and communications.
Candidate Profile
* PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Science, Materials Science, or related discipline - OR significant prior experience in scientific instrumentation sales.
* Strong understanding of analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, materials characterisation).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Target-driven, proactive, and commercially minded.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel extensively within the Northern region.
