Transport Planner
Location: Sunbury
Salary: Competitive + bonus + benefits
Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm (Office based)
CTR Select are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client based in Sunbury. This is a great opportunity to join a busy logistics operation where you will be responsible for co-ordinating efficient and compliant transport operations across depots and delivery networks.
The successful candidate will ensure deliveries run smoothly, routes are optimised and drivers, customers and suppliers are supported to maintain high service standards.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and optimise vehicle routes for daily collections and deliveries
*
Ensure all customer delivery requirements are met on time
*
Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding transport operations
*
Coordinate fleet vehicles and subcontractors to deliver cost-effective solutions
*
Manage drivers on a daily basis, including driver debriefs
*
Monitor operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
*
Support management of transport suppliers, subcontractors and agencies
*
Assist with driver training programmes, including Driver CPC
*
Carry out driver, vehicle and trailer compliance checks
*
Support the management of in-cab technology and fleet systems
*
Provide out-of-hours support when required
*
Assist with fleet management and Health & Safety compliance
*
Provide flexibility to cover holidays, absences and occasional weekend shifts
Skills & Experience Required
*
Previous experience in a Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator / Logistics Planner role
*
O-Licence knowledge or experience
*
Understanding of Working Time Directive regulations
*
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
*
Excellent organisation and time management skills
*
Strong communication and relationship-building ability
*
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
*
Self-motivated and able to work independently
