An international manufacturing business is seeking a Logistics Seupervisor to act as the central point for all logistics, customs and transportation activity across the organisation.
This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and finished products move efficiently through the supply chain, while improving service levels, strengthening supplier relationships and controlling logistics spend.
Key responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day performance of an outsourced logistics partner against agreed KPIs
* Coordinate end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics with manufacturing, sales, finance and product teams
* Lead import and export activity and ensure full compliance with global customs regulations
* Maintain accurate trade documentation and support audits
* Manage and develop relationships with freight forwarders, carriers and transport providers
* Monitor carrier performance and drive service and cost improvements
* Support management of annual freight and logistics budgets
* Deliver continuous improvement and year-on-year transportation cost savings
* Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to resolve issues and align best practice
About you
To be considered for this opportunity you will need a strong background in logistics specifically in managing freight and 3PL. Knowledge export and customs compliance is also essential. This opportunity requires daily interaction with internal and external stakeholders in multiple countries so excellent communication skills are a prerequisite for the post. The position will include international travel up to 4 days a month so a willingness to travel is also required.
