As an Event Chef, you will be responsible for designing event-specific menus, coordinating with event planners, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences that exceed client expectations and align with the event's theme and requirements. Your expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management will be essential in delivering exceptional service in dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering or event-based culinary services, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing client needs and event logistics. You will be expected to maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards, manage inventory and food costs, and collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless event execution. Oversee food preparation and presentation during events. Coordinate with event planners and clients to understand requirements. Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks efficiently. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency. Adapt menus and services to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences. Work within budget constraints and control food costs. Collaborate with front-of-house staff for seamless event execution. Supervise setup and breakdown of event kitchen operations. Handle last-minute changes and resolve issues promptly. The Person: Proven experience as a chef, preferably in catering or events. Professional training. Strong menu planning and food presentation skills. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creativity and attention to detail.
