Who we are looking forA Software Asset Management Team Leader, who will help to manage and maintain software configuration management items.You will help to audit and maintain the data and software packages within the Definitive Software Library (DSL), for both third party and internally developed software. You will ensure every software configuration item is recorded, discovered and tracked accordingly.Using various software, asset management and vulnerability toolsets, you will ensure that all data is accurate and up to date, recorded correctly and that the required processes are followed to make changes to the dataset.This is an exciting opportunity to manage a small team who maintain the DSL data and discovery of the software used within the Business. You will work closely with other teams to manage current software for removal and replacement, discovery of the components and the governance following the agreed processes.Preferred skills and experienceExperience in a similar software configuration management role, with an understanding of software asset management principles and requirements.Experience working with software packaging and distribution processes.Experience of using software asset management toolsets and principles, including SNOW Licence Manager, Nessus, Truesight and Helix CMDB.Ability to analyse large amounts of data using Excel formulae such as vlookup and pivot tables, with the ability to present this data back and use it to calculate compliance and configuration positions.Strong understanding of technology and tools including Active Directory, software distribution including BCM, MECM, XenApp, XenDesktop, asset inventory and configuration management tools.Managing large scale user access control and permissions using Active Directory for software deployments using MECM.Ability to write SQL queries to manage large data volumes for software inventory and discovery purposes.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present back highly technical outputs to non-technical stakeholders.Proven Team Leader experience.Main ResponsibilitiesChecking all active software entries for versioning and upgrades, as well as planning end of life alternatives to ensure new versions are requested in advance of requirements.Coordinating and auditing software access permissions for departments, ensuring that software is approved and available for the required roles, whilst owning the departmental software product catalogue.Managing and maintaining our approved and denied software lists, ensuring we maintain a compliant estate.Ensuring that all third party and internally developed software is recognised and trackable across the estate, by ensuring the correct discovery rules are maintained.“By applying to us you are agreeing to share your Personal Data in accordance with our Recruitment Privacy Policy - http://www.bet365careers.com/privacypolicy.pdf
