Our client is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter to join their team in Crawley.

Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain and repair vehicles to DVSA and manufacturer standards Carry out inspections, servicing, MOT preparation, and complete service documentation Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve fleet reliability Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment, including auto-electrical systems Work on HGVs, LCVs, trailers and PSVs Attend roadside breakdowns using a company-provided breakdown van Experience & Requirements Apprenticeship trained with City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent qualification Proven experience servicing, repairing and fault-finding on commercial vehicles Strong knowledge of vehicle body electrics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter experience required Experience within the waste management sector advantageous LGV Class C / HGV Class 2 licence desirable but not essential Ability to work independently, safely and competently in a physically demanding role Reliable, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship Pay & Benefits Weekly pay Company pension with 3% employer contribution IRTEC training and accreditation Free manufacturer product training Free life insurance policy Cycle to Work Scheme Clear promotion opportunities through internal recruitment Opportunity to upskill as a professional driver via an in-house Driver Training Academy Ongoing career development xjlbheb with formal qualifications and vocational certificates Free on-site parking 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for you and your household Local gym discounts, including swimming pool access and classes On-Call plan; 1 week in every 3 weeks on call On-call allowance paid for carrying the phone Additional payments for call-out interventions How to Apply If you are an HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter and would like to apply, please make an application via this advert.
