About the Role
As an IT Technical Administrator, you’ll be the go‑to person for Technical Support across our site, ensuring our systems run efficiently and securely. You’ll play a vital role in supporting users, maintaining infrastructure, and delivering reliable IT services that underpin our operations. This hands‑on role requires strong problem‑solving skills and technical expertise to make a real difference to our people and the wider mission of national defence.
Responsibilities
* Providing first and second‑line desktop support for hardware, software, and operating systems.
* Managing the helpdesk queue and resolving issues in line with KPIs.
* Issuing and deploying IT hardware, including laptops and telephony systems.
* Maintaining user accounts and updating asset registers.
* Following procedures to power down and restart servers when required.
Essential Experience
* Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
* Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
* Relevant IT certifications or training would be advantageous.
Security Clearance
