Role Overview
An opportunity to join a team who make a positive difference to the Council’s Sheltered Housing Tenants. You will provide crucial support, planning, advice and assistance in a Tenant centred approach whilst Tenants relocate to new homes. It is important to have a can‑do attitude and enjoy making a difference to those needing support.
Key Responsibilities
This role will benefit from someone with experience of working with vulnerable adults in care or social housing environments. The successful candidate will have regular contact with Tenants, most often face to face and will be subject to DBS clearance. Following initial assessments with Tenants, you will liaise with internal teams, outside agencies and voluntary organisations on behalf of Tenants to access support, often drawing on your initiative for problem solving.
Required Skills and Experience
It is essential that the Tenancy Support Officer has excellent interpersonal communication, organisational, planning and document management skills. The ability to research and problem solve challenges that may arise will be a clear advantage, along with a competence to work with a broad stakeholder mix including the awareness of different communication styles and timings required.
Hours and Conditions
Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends when required.
A full valid driving licence is required for this role.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 23 months from employment.
This is a hybrid working role (Office and site work is required with at least three to four times a week varying each week, more as and when required).
