Job Description
We are looking for a skilled multi-trader to join our team.
1. The ideal candidate would have general knowledge of basic building works, wet trades, and basic carpentry background
2. Certificates such as CSCS, PASMA, IPAF etc would be an advantage but not essential as we would provide access to courses as required
3. Demonstrate basic construction site knowledge sufficient to work safely and efficiently on-site
4. The ability to communicate with colleagues and clients
5. Must be experienced and hardworking, with the ability to work to a high standard and on own initiative.
6. Will need to be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and have a flexible approach and a desire to take on new responsibilities
7. The role will vary day to day but will typically cover a broad spectrum of Multi-Trader Skills and General builder in various building trades
8. Perform repair and maintenance tasks on doors, furniture, fixtures and appliances in an effective and timely manner

18. Rendering
19. Spar

22. Investigate possible problems and propose solutions
23. Fencing repairs / Facia and soffit repairs
24. Basic plumbing
25. Investigate possible problems and propose solutions
26. Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair or maintenance jobs
Operations
27. Ensure all works are carried out within the approved budget
28. Attend site inductions. Read and understand the contents of the site file signing applicable receipt pages confirming you will carry out the tasks as per method statement / risk assessment
29. To attend training courses as per Mitie's QHSE policy and procedures
30. Complete all works in a safe working manner
31. All PPE to be worn at all times and limit any risk to yourself and others
32. Uniform, safety boots and names badge to be worn at all times
33. Ensure Time Sheets are completed correctly and are returned in a timely manner
34. Implement and follow local procedures as and when they are issued
35. Liaising with site management and key personnel on building related issues
Qualifications
36. Must hold a recognised qualification or have a minimum of 2 years checkable experience
37. Preferable has served a recognised apprenticeship
38. Organised and able to meet deadlines
39. Must be self-motivated and be a team player
40. Conversant with relevant legislation and compliance issues
41. Good knowledge of all aspects of Health and Safety
42. Must be self-motivated and be a good motivator
43. Should have a “Can Do” approach and portray a positive attitude
44. Must have good customer service skills
45. Is capable of carrying out all duties associated with carrying out the role of painter/decorator

46. Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times
47. Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment
48. Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
49. Report any QHSE issues to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system
