Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE) – Professional & Financial Risks – Bristol
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 (dependent on PQE and experience)
A well established national law firm is seeking a Newly Qualified to 4 year PQE Solicitor to join its highly regarded Professional & Financial Risks (PFR) team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a top tier practice acting for major Professional Indemnity Insurers and a range of professional services firms.
The Role
You'll manage a varied and high quality caseload of professional indemnity matters involving a wide range of professions, including solicitors, insurance brokers, accountants, and financial advisers. The work includes both pre litigation and litigated claims, as well as advisory matters such as coverage, regulatory issues, risk management, and Ombudsman complaints.
* Managing your own caseload of professional indemnity and coverage matters
* Delivering timely, high quality advice aligned with client expectations and SLAs
* Working closely with partners and colleagues in a collaborative, growing team
* Supporting business development and contributing to client initiatives
* Helping to refine and improve team processes and service delivery
* Capturing and reporting Management Information in line with client requirements
Candidate Requirements
* NQ-4 years PQE (or equivalent experience)
* Strong litigation experience; insurance experience is desirable but not essential
* Ability to provide clear, commercial advice and build strong client relationships
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to an inclusive team culture
* Confidence to use initiative while recognising when to seek guidance
* High levels of integrity and confidentiality
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
