Stock Controller
Established in 2006, Photon Energy is one of the UK's leading independent installers of large solar PV systems to the commercial and public sectors with a reputation for engineering excellence.
We are now seeking applications from a conscientious and responsible person to join our team in Dartford, Kent as Stock Controller.
The role will include:
* Understanding of stock and work forecasts, and ordering of stock to meet demands of the Business
* Notifying Project Teams of delivery dates of items ordered and dispatched
* Bar code scanning of serial numbers for key stock lines
* Preparing stock location for inventory with Warehouse Manager
* Monthly stock count at varying heights
* Recording stock count on Sage accounting software
* Recording all stock transfers in a timely manner to Sage accounting software
* Weekly reporting to Project Teams of available stock lines
* Investigate any variances between stock reported and physical count
* Review slow moving stock with Warehouse Manager
* Report correct stock valuation to Finance Team by monthly cut off
* Ad hoc reporting
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, be very methodical, and diligent in their approach to work, as well as being numerate and self-motivated to work on their own or as part of the Team. A working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts or equivalent and MS Office is a pre-requisite and previous experience in a similar position is a distinct advantage.
