Planning Manager – Kiln Lane Sub Station, Suffolk
Salary: £80,000–£85,000 + car/car allowance £5,250
Are you an experienced Planning Manager with hands-on operational experience in civil construction? We’re looking for a senior professional to lead and coordinate a team of engineers, building robust project programmes from the ground up.
Location: Kiln Lane Sub Station, Suffolk
What You’ll Do:
* Lead the planning team to develop, monitor, and deliver detailed project programmes.
* Establish and manage programme control systems including Earned Value Analysis (EVA).
* Identify risks, resource needs, and opportunities to optimize programme delivery.
* Communicate methods and sequences to teams and suppliers with clarity.
* Contribute to temporary works evaluation and commercial decision-making.
* Ensure programmes reflect efficient, safe, and buildable construction sequences.
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 10 years of operational experience on-site or through engineering/construction disciplines.
* Proven ability to build programmes from basic principles and manage complex schedules.
* Experience with Oracle P6 planning software and running QSRA on programmes.
* Strong knowledge of planning methodologies, sequencing, and visual communication.
* Ability to coach and mentor junior planners.
* Familiarity with M&E systems, BIM, sustainability, and carbon reduction principles is a plus.
