Location: We are based in the North-West of the UK, with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bolton & Southport and also have 1 office down south in Cambridge, although we offer hybrid working, enjoying the benefit from working from home, and attending the office to work and collaborate with colleagues.

Main Responsibilities for the role:
14. Leading a team to maximise its objectives and deliver excellent standards of performance.
15. Some aspects of people management for the team (with input from Heads of Department).
16. Ensuring that the legal/technical elements of the case conduct processes are maintained to the highest standards of efficiency, integrity and customer care.
17. Conducting technical file reviews and offering supervisory guidance/instruction.
18. Knowledge sharing with the team by way of supervision, training and case clinics.
19. Work in effective collaboration with other Team Leaders and Heads of Department to ensure standardisation of approach, learning and the smooth transition of cases and team working.
20. The successful applicant will also have conduct of a of a diverse caseload of multi-track or intermediate track matters valued up to £100,000, including RTA, EL, PL and OL work and should have a proven track record of success in serious injury personal injury work.
Accountable for:
21. Providing inspirational leadership to teams, including recruitment, motivation, training and supporting of team members.
22. Ensuring the progression of all cases in the team up to the point of settlement.
23. Ensuring the team provides outstanding service to customers.
24. Ensuring the team’s financial performance KPIs are delivered and maintained.
The ideal candidate will have:
25. The successful candidate should be a qualified Solicitor/CILEX or have equivalent work experience with a solid track record of successfully dealing with multi-track work.
26. Significant experience of handling serious injury claims and litigation experience.
27. Sound knowledge of the CPR, litigation process and cost budgeting process.
28. Experienced at dealing with a diverse range of liability scenarios including EL/PL as well as RTAs and multiple defendants.
29. Proven KPI’s in fees recovery, time recording and client care.
30. Inspirational leader of people and teams.
31. Excellent people and client care skills; a sensitive and professional approach always.
32. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
33. Self-motivated and proactive.
34. A commercial approach to litigation and case progression.
35. Willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
36. Flexible in working hours and able to travel.
37. Good IT skills, especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages. Previous experience of Proclaim is preferable but not essential.
38. Able to liaise and work well with other integral teams across the business.
39. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
40. A strong track record of thinking and acting commercially in a legal environment.
41. Previous supervisory or management experience.
42. Excellent attention to detail.
43. A willingness to put forward ideas and to engage in brand development, networking events and marketing.
Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience:
44. Experience of the Proclaim case manage system would be desirable.
45. Driving licence.
