Job Description:
As a Senior Through-Life Product Engineer, you will contribute to Safran's customer experience by supporting on-time product delivery and resolving technical queries. You will review and approve design activities, conduct detailed investigations for production and in-service products, and act as a technical liaison between UK & US engineering teams.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting technical investigations across manufacturing, operations, programs, supply chain, customer support, and quality.
* Mechanical design of in-service product alterations and tooling, including documentation.
* Reviewing and approving design activities.
* Facilitating communication between UK & US engineering teams.
* Making technical decisions and managing requirements and deliverables.
* Building relationships with stakeholders for effective communication.
* Leading projects to improve reliability.
* Ensuring investigation action plans are well-structured and managed for quick decision-making.
Qualifications and experience:
* A Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent.
* Design experience with rotating equipment, bearings, seals, structures, tooling, and electrical machines, including CAD work.
* Knowledge of engineering materials and production methods.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Experience in technical presentations.
* Proficiency in written English.
