Job Title: R&D Tax Associate Salary: Up to £25,000 plus bonus Location: Northampton, Manchester & Dublin Reporting to: Manager/Associate Director

About the Role

The R&D Tax Associate role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in tax consultancy, specifically focusing on R&D tax relief. You will assess client projects and prepare financial and technical reports. Your work will help companies access critical R&D funding.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, from startups to established corporations, across industries like manufacturing, software development, engineering, and pharmaceuticals. You'll be supported in gaining your ATT and CTA qualifications while working alongside experienced professionals who are eager to help you grow.

In this Role, You'll

1. Engage with clients to assess projects eligible for R&D claims, typically in industries such as manufacturing, software development, engineering, and pharmaceuticals.
2. Draft financial and technical reports for submission to HMRC.
3. Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.
4. Manage client relationships and communicate progress effectively.
5. Use tools like Salesforce for efficient project management.
6. Continuously improve your knowledge of R&D tax credits and related legislation.
7. Identify opportunities for clients to maximise their R&D claims.
8. Provide feedback to enhance internal processes.

We're Seeking Someone with Experience Including

1. Interest in finance or technical fields, preferably with a relevant degree or work experience in engineering, accounting, or similar.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.
4. Methodical, organised, and detail-oriented.
5. IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel.
6. Comfortable engaging with clients at all levels, representing CBTax professionally.
7. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
