The Role
As a Senior Retoucher, you will contribute to the creation of high-quality visual assets that align with JDO’s creative vision and client expectations.
You’re an on-pack specialist who can adapt confidently to off-pack projects, balancing emotion and accuracy while maintaining visual coherence. From first render to final pixel, you bring vision, care, and precision, delivering visuals that provoke emotion and build belief.
You’re a confident, craft-led creative with a sharp eye, steady hand, and deep understanding of visual storytelling. You bring calm leadership to the retouching process, blending creative thinking with technical finesse and respecting design intent. You thrive in collaborative environments, enhancing work quality and team confidence. You see beyond the task to the story, aligning imagery with emotion, brand, and belief.

Responsibilities
* Apply expert creative judgment to rendered images and photographic assets, recognizing strong visual storytelling.
* Develop emotive and engaging imagery, experimenting with new techniques and supporting others.
* Recognize what is needed to enhance images to the highest standards, aligning with the creative vision.
* Utilize Photoshop, associated apps, and AI platforms to produce high-quality assets.
* Prepare assets for production, adhering to file management standards for seamless collaboration.
* Manage personal workload to meet deadlines and support project estimation and planning.
* Understand the role of retouching in the design process and provide regular project updates.
* Participate in team discussions, critiques, and feedback sessions.
* Show a proactive attitude toward learning and exploring new tools and techniques.
* Support and mentor junior team members.
Location & flexibility
* Based in Tunbridge Wells or London.
* Flexible working discussed; studio time is important.
* Minimum 32 hours/week, with at least 2 days in the UK studio.
* Ideally full-time (40 hours/week), with 3 days in studio.
