The Peninsula London is seeking a Bar Chef de Rang to join the team within our Brooklands Bar, to be responsible for a team of Commis Waiters and deliver high levels of service. The successful candidate will promote The Peninsula London to becoming a recognized culinary destination by creating memorable guest experiences through friendly, yet unobtrusive service with a passion for excellence.
Responsibilities include:
* Understand and follow the sequence of service standards.
* Understand the menus and all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation, and appropriate style of service.
* Ensure usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools, and service equipment.
* Utilize the POS system.
* Observe and maintain the daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment in the restaurant, and public area and make recommendations for corrections and improvement as needed.
Requirements:
* Good knowledge of food and beverage trends in service and culinary experience.
* Experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant or luxury 5 hotel.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills, highly adaptable, naturally positive.
* Good communication skills, flexibility, and capability of working under pressure.
