Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school based in Derbyshire for a Year 3 class teacher to join their team from September 2025.
Role and responsibilities:
Planning creative, engaging lesson plans ensuring that all children’s learning needs and abilities are met.
Delivering effective lessons to the whole class of approximately 26 students.
Adapting teaching strategies to ensure that every student understands and has effective support.
Marking work throughout the day effectively and providing clear feedback to students and their families.
Completing and writing development reports and assessments.
Building strong, positive and professional relationships with students, families and colleagues.
Working to support and lead a class teaching assistant to enhance children’s learning opportunities.
Creating and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment with effective lesson resources available.
Working closely with the phase leader to ensure high quality teaching and learning.
Attending staff meetings and training opportunities for personal progression opportunities.
Ideal applicants will:
Have a valid, UK QTS alongside experience teaching in KS2 (preferably year 3 or 4)
Show a positive role model to all.
Hold strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Be committed to children’s learning and education and want to make a difference.
Hold experience using White Rose Maths and Little Wandle schemes (desirable)
