The Supply Specialists are proud to be recruiting on behalf of many welcoming and supportive Children's Residential Homes in Crewe. We are seeking experienced Children's Residential Support Workers to join their dedicated teams, with immediate starts available.
This role would be suitable for any experienced residential support workers or individuals currently studying nursing, pyschology or social care.
About the Role
As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care, guidance, and encouragement to children and young people in a residential setting. You'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive, while supporting their day-to-day needs and long-term development.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and emotional support, ensuring each child feels safe and valued.
* Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility.
* Contribute to and follow individual care plans, tailored to each child's needs.
* Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals to deliver the best outcomes.
* Keep accurate records of progress, behaviours, and any changes in circumstances.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and social engagement through activities and guidance.
* Transport children to appointments and community activities when required.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or in a care/support role is highly desirable.
* A caring and compassionate nature with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
* A DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
