Production Engineer Gloucester Up to £47,000 per annum Benefits Permanent Position Overview: We are recruiting a Production Engineer to support the fabrication and assembly of mechanical equipment. This hands-on role bridges engineering and manufacturing by managing BOMs, drawing control, and MRP systems to ensure efficient production workflows. Key Responsibilities: Produce and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for mechanical assemblies. Manage drawing submissions, issue controls, and revision updates to workshop. Interface with engineering and production to coordinate material flow and fabrication readiness. Maintain and update the MRP system with material status, shortages, and order tracking. Support the workshop with up-to-date documentation, kits of parts, and assembly aids. Monitor production progress and resolve technical queries with engineering teams. Assist in quality documentation, traceability, and final inspection readiness. Experience and Skills Required: Experience in a production, manufacturing, or fabrication engineering role. Experience working with mechanical / special purpose equipment. Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and workshop practices. Experience using MRP or ERP systems. Excellent coordination skills with engineering, purchasing, and workshop teams. Certifications/Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical fabrication, MEP standards.
