Position: SEN Primary Teacher
Location: Hambrook School, Burgess Hill, West Sussex RH15 8HZ
Salary: Up to £44,310 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday

As part of our continued growth, Hambrook School is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and creative SEN Primary Teacher to join our close-knit and supportive team. This is more than a teaching role – it’s a chance to change lives.
Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering exciting, creative lessons that engage and inspire
* Monitoring and assessing students’ progress, ensuring personal development and wellbeing are prioritised alongside academic achievement
* Collaborating closely with our expert multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing, effective learning environment
* Using innovative approaches to bring learning to life in and beyond the classroom
* Contributing to a setting where your voice is valued, your ideas are welcomed, and your impact is tangible
Who we’re looking for
* Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Is passionate about teaching pupils with SEN, particularly autism and complex needs
* Brings creativity, patience, and dedication to the classroom
* Communicates clearly and compassionately with pupils, families, and professionals
* Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a committed and caring team

Hambrook School is in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We opened in September 2023 and secured an Ofsted ‘Good’ rating in just 7 short months. We help pupils excel by providing a structured, nurturing approach, alongside a broad, balanced, engaging and richly resourced curriculum. All our pupils have a diagnosis of Autism and an EHCP. We are part of Outcomes First Group, leading the sector in setting and delivering new approaches with measurable outcomes. In 2024, Outcomes First Group was certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the fifth year running.
