As a Consultant Dermatologist, you will play a key leadership role within a dedicated dermatology team, delivering patient-focused care while helping to shape and enhance community-based dermatology pathways. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician seeking to combine hands-on practice with service development and clinical governance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert dermatological care in community and outpatient settings.
* Lead on clinical governance, audits, and teaching clinics within the dermatology team.
* Mentor, appraise, and support dermatology clinicians to maintain clinical excellence.
* Work with operational and business teams to enhance and expand community services.
* Contribute to the development of innovative care pathways to address increased service demand.
* Ensure all clinical work meets national and local quality and governance standards.
About You
You are a proactive, compassionate clinician committed to delivering the highest standards of dermatology care. You have strong leadership skills and enjoy contributing to service innovation and improvement.
Essential Requirements:
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Dermatology.
* Demonstrable experience as a Consultant Dermatologist in outpatient and/or community settings.
* Proven leadership, mentorship, and team development skills.
* Experience in clinical governance, pathway design, or service development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to patient safety, equality, and continuous improvement.
