What you'll be doing
You'll join a cross-functional engineering team supporting high-speed production lines in a 24/7 environment. It's a hands-on, multi-skilled maintenance role where you'll be trusted to diagnose, repair, and improve - and work closely with operations to drive efficiency.
This includes:
Responding to breakdowns and completing planned preventative maintenance
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
Monitoring line performance and identifying root causes of issues
Working on electrical, mechanical, and process systems
Maintaining records via CMMS (Shire) and supporting with compliance and safety
What we're looking for
You're a qualified engineer (electrical or mechanical) who's worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You know how to fault-find, fix, and suggest improvements - and you take pride in working safely, accurately, and with minimal supervision.
Required:
NVQ Level 3, ONC or BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Previous experience in a multi-skilled engineering or maintenance role
Practical understanding of safety systems and production processes
Ability to use Microsoft Office and mobile reporting systems
Strong communication, ownership and fault-finding skills
Desirable:
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Experience with boilers, compressed air, or HVAC systems
Familiarity with CMMS systems (Shire ideal but not essential)
Location & Hours
This is a full-time, permanent role based at a large-scale manufacturing site in Middlewich, Cheshire.
Shifts are 4 on, 4 off (rotating days and nights, 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am).
