This is a hands-on role managing both planned and reactive maintenance, alongside small works and minor project installations across a diverse range of commercial and industrial sites. The Role As Maintenance Project Manager, youll be responsible for leading a team of engineers and subcontractors to deliver reliable maintenance services and mechanical small works. From overseeing HVAC replacements and plant room upgrades to responding to urgent breakdowns, youll ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction remain at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Manage PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple sites Supervise engineers and subcontractors, maintaining high standards and compliance Deliver small works and mechanical project installations Prepare estimates, scopes, and project programmes Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and reporting Lead, mentor, and develop your engineering team About You Youll bring a solid mechanical engineering background and at least five years experience in M&E or building services management. Youre commercially aware, highly organised, and confident in managing both contracts and people. Essential Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance or building services management Strong mechanical knowledge (HVAC, plumbing, heating systems) Proven ability to manage maintenance contracts and small works Excellent understanding of health and safety, risk assessments, and compliance IT proficient (Microsoft Office, CAFM systems) Full UK driving licence Desirable NVQ Level 3, HNC, or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering IOSH or NEBOSH certification Experience with BMS and control systems Familiarity with SFG20 and industry standards Why Apply?
