Overview

Waking Night Children’s Support Worker (Home-Based Care). We are looking to recruit caring and dependable individuals to join a home care team supporting a 6-year-old boy with complex medical and care needs. These waking night roles involve providing dedicated one-to-one support within the child’s family home, helping ensure his comfort, safety and wellbeing overnight.

The child is sociable with a bright personality. He enjoys music, sensory activities, movement-based play and time outdoors. Although he does not use verbal communication, he interacts using eye-gaze technology and forms strong connections with those around him. He lives with his parents and sibling in a warm family environment with a strict non-smoking policy. The family values consistency and trust within care provision.

He requires full assistance from carers for his clinical, personal care and day-to-day living requirements.
