Job summary
We are looking to expand the radiographic reporting team in our Trust with the addition of a reporting radiographer with postgraduate qualification in image interpretation.
This will be a full-time reporting post at Bedford Hospital.
Ideally, the successful candidate should have extensive experience reporting plain film images in a hospital environment.
As a band 7 radiographer, you will be able to lead a team in the ED and general radiology departments.
This role involves training and supervising junior radiographers and students, as well as leading audits and service improvement initiatives relevant to the Imaging Department.
The department has implemented a shift working system. Flexible working and participation in the 7-day service will be expected.
Hybrid working with a home reporting station will be available after successful completion of a probationary period and reporting audit as per RCR guidance.

Main duties of the job
* To actively participate in providing the reporting radiographer service while maintaining high standards.
* To interpret planar x-ray images.
* To produce high-quality image reports.
* To produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient care standards.
* To participate in the 7-day working rota for clinical and reporting duties.
