Transport Planner
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation based in Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in transport planning, logistics operations, and import/export coordination who is looking to join a growing business with long-term opportunities.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive, and confident managing the day-to-day movement of goods while ensuring excellent service levels and operational efficiency across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and coordinating daily transport activities efficiently and cost-effectively
* Managing deliveries, collections, and route planning
* Liaising with drivers, customers, warehouses, and internal teams
* Supporting import and export operations to ensure shipments move smoothly
* Handling customs processes for both import and export movements
* Monitoring schedules and reacting quickly to operational changes
* Ensuring all planning activity is compliant with company procedures
* Building strong working relationships across the operation
