Programme Governance Officer - LGR Council Offices - Clitheroe Reference: CE218 Pay: Scale 5 (scp 16-19) £30,518 to £32,061 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: 2 year fixed term contract Ribble Valley Borough Council is preparing for a once in a generation transformation as part of Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Programme Governance Officer to play a central role in supporting this complex and high profile change programme. Working within the LGR Programme Management Office, you will help ensure strong governance, effective oversight and clear decision making across all workstreams. You will monitor risks and issues, analyse programme information, produce high quality reports and dashboards, and ensure decisions and actions are well documented, transparent and audit ready. You will also provide constructive challenge, support the Programme Manager, and help embed consistent governance standards across partner councils. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complexity, takes ownership of their work and is confident interpreting information to make informed recommendations. You will need excellent organisational skills, strong analytical ability and the ability to build effective working relationships. Experience in programme, project or governance work is helpful, but we also welcome applicants with transferable skills and the motivation to develop.
