Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Location: Broughton (on-site)
Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)
Pay: £29.89 per hour PAYE / £40.00
Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

About the Role

You'll be the go-to expert for all things Environment, Health & Safety-supporting our people, partners, and projects to achieve the highest standards. If you're a proactive, collaborative professional who's ready to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Championing a culture of safety and wellbeing across all levels of the organisation, from senior leaders to shop floor colleagues.
2. Supporting the local FMRE team to ensure robust risk controls are in place for all activities, including those of our service providers.
3. Ensuring compliance with legal requirements for new and existing plant and equipment, including ongoing maintenance.
4. Reviewing safety management systems for prospective contractors during the pre-qualification process.
5. Conducting EHS inspections and audits, maintaining accurate records, and driving action plans for continuous improvement.
6. Providing expert advice on EHS matters for a wide range of strategic projects, including feasibility and design reviews.
7. Leading compliance audits and ensuring processes meet all relevant legal standards (including CDM Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act).
8. Investigating incidents (from near misses to lost time injuries and environmental events), ensuring effective follow-up and learning.
9. Promoting EHS topics through training, awareness campaigns, KPI reporting, and induction programmes.
What We're Looking For
10. NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) - essential.
11. Strong experience in Facilities Management, Construction, or Real Estate environments.
12. Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships across the business.
13. Hands-on experience with risk assessment, auditing, and compliance processes.
14. CDM experience is essential.
15. A team player who can also work independently, with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
16. Commitment to ongoing professional development (IOSH membership desirable).
