I’m a gentleman in my 70’s who sustained a severe brain injury several years ago. I have my own adapted property in Cwmbran and receive 2:1 support, 24 hours a day. (During the night, one member of staff is awake, and one is on call). I am a wheelchair user and hoisted for all transfers. I enjoy the company of others, have a good sense of humour, and like to watch TV, listen to podcasts, and go out into the community, e.g., attending hydrotherapy.
Responsibilities
I have complex physical and cognitive difficulties and receive input from a multi-disciplinary team of therapists. I’m unable to communicate verbally and have all my feeds via a PEG. I would like my support workers to be warm, patient, and reliable, to encourage and support me in accessing all my rehabilitation opportunities and help me to maximize my quality of life. You will play a key part in helping to develop my goals and day-to-day activities.
We are committed to building a strong and dedicated team of individuals who are passionate about making a difference.
This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check. Full induction and training will be provided.
