The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Physiotherapy Cardiac Rehabilitation Service at NHS Lanarkshire.
This role will involve working across both University Hospital Wishaw and University Hospital Hairmyres, delivering highquality care through comprehensive assessment and tailored exercise prescription for cardiac rehabilitation patients. As a physiotherapist within NHS Lanarkshire, you will be supported with the experience, guidance and development opportunities needed to excel.

Please note that this role may require working 5 days over 7.
In this key role, you will:
1. Act independently to plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care to maximise rehabilitation potential including decision making regarding discharge from care
2. Manage an identifiable caseload of patients effectively and efficiently, utilising current literature and research may be identified as a key worker within the multi-professional team, eg. stroke rehabilitation
3. To provide specialist advice and support to more junior staff to ensure the development of knowledge and skills within the clinical specialty.
4. Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date patient documentation, records and accurate mandatory statistical information to reflect care provided and meet professional and local standards. Also responsible for ensuring compliance of more junior staff within the speciality.
What You'll Bring:
5. Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
6. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
7. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part-time working hours will be reduced on a pro-rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
