As part of their continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer (In-House Counsel) to join our clients legal team.
The Role
Reporting to the board of directors, you will be the company's go-to advisor on all aspects of commercial property law. You will provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to support the management, acquisition, and development of our property portfolio, as well as broader commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of property related contracts, including leases, licences, acquisitions, disposals, and development agreements.
* Advising on landlord and tenant matters, property management issues, and related disputes.
* Supporting the business with property aspects of corporate transactions and projects.
* Managing external counsel where specialist advice is required.
* Ensuring compliance with property and planning legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal governance.
* Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing clear and practical advice.
About You
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 5 years PQE gained in commercial property law (private practice or in-house).
* Strong technical expertise in property transactions, landlord & tenant matters, and development projects.
* Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives.
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Confident working independently while being a collaborative team player.
