Senior Business Development Manager – Health & Care Home‑based / Hybrid | Attractive package including car and bonus. Job introduction This is a senior, high‑impact opportunity for an experienced Business Development or Bid professional to play a key role in shaping and winning complex, high‑value Healthcare contracts. Reporting into the Bid Director, you will support major new business, retention and growth opportunities within a highly competitive and regulated environment, helping to position the organisation as a trusted partner across the Health & Care sector. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, lead strategic bids, and bring insight, structure and energy to some of the most significant opportunities within the pipeline — all while enjoying a flexible, home‑based working model and an attractive reward package including car and bonus. What you will do Lead and support high‑value Healthcare bids, including new business, retentions and cross‑sell opportunities. Partner with the Bid Director to shape bid strategy, win themes and overall approach on major opportunities. Manage the end‑to‑end bid process, ensuring quality, compliance, governance. and deadlines are met. Collaborate with Commercial, Technology, Operations and Support functions to deliver compelling, client‑focused solutions. Contribute to written bid responses and guide design and graphics teams on content and presentation. Engage confidently with clients during procurement, presentations and clarification stages. Monitor market trends, competitor activity and sector developments to inform bid strategy and solutions. Share best practice and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement across the sales and bid community. What you will bring Experience in Healthcare sales and/or bid management, ideally within public sector or regulated environments. A proven record of supporting complex, high‑value contracts (£10m) from opportunity through to award. Strong understanding of Healthcare sector dynamics, client expectations and regulatory frameworks. Experience working in matrixed organisations, influencing a wide range of internal stakeholders. Confidence presenting at senior and board level, with excellent communication and storytelling skills. A structured, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple bids and priorities. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance competitiveness with profitability. A collaborative mindset, with a passion for quality, innovation and winning the right work.
