Mechatronics Engineer – Central London – Medical Device
About the Company:
We are looking for an engineer with experience in mechanical, electrical and software product development to work for an innovative medical device company taking their prototype to the next level.
Responsibilities:
* Incorporate mechanical, electronic, and software systems and parts.
* Evolve proven prototypes into production-ready instruments by enhancing mechanical systems, upgrading software, and improving performance.
* Plan and define instrument specifications to meet CE/UKCA regulatory requirements.
* Design and conduct functionality and quality testing procedures.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including design records, version control, and development history.
* Contribute to IP generation and protection efforts.
* Share technical findings and insights to guide product direction and innovation.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a cross functional product development role within the medical device or scientific instrumentation industry.
* A good understanding of and experience using Python.
* Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
* A solid understanding of mechanical and software engineering.
