Overview
Job Advert – MENCAP is looking for a permanent, full-time Area Operations Manager to work with and oversee our services within the South Yorkshire/Mansfield area.
The role

In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of established services, working in close partnership with Service Managers to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred, and high-quality support. You will lead with purpose, inspire your teams, and help foster a culture where the people we support—and our staff—can thrive.
This is a full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Building strong, positive relationships across the services
* Monitoring and improving service performance using data and KPI’s
* Coaching and supporting managers to develop their leadership
* Managing financial risks and identifying opportunities
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards
Experience
* Ideally worked within a management role in the care sector or another people-focused environment
* Experience in demonstrating a supportive and inclusive leadership approach
* Confident in overseeing multiple services
* Budget management
* Track record of motivating teams through periods of change and development
