This new and exciting role has been created to drive our Public Interest (PI) audit team to transform our approach to winning new business and driving profitable growth in the large listed market, and large equivalent privately held companies including major-PE backed groups.
You will be part of a supportive and growing audit Go to Market team, as well as the national Markets and Clients community. This is a great opportunity to help our partners and directors achieve their growth targets by ensuring momentum in their business and client development activities.
You will:
* Transform our approach to winning new business focusing on a proactive, structured, and rigorous approach aligned with the Firm’s Sales and Marketing Cycle.
* Evolve our Business Development approach by bringing fresh insights from your experience to drive the right mindset.
* Define, identify, and oversee a pipeline of pursuits and tenders to support PI business growth, introducing key account management and tiering strategies.
* Fully adopt and champion the new CRM system (Dynamics) across the PI Audit practice.
* Account manage priority PI targets, working with Pursuits team to develop relationship and win strategies, regularly qualifying targets.
* Monitor KPIs around the sales pipeline, providing oversight and reporting.
* Support audit leaders, Head of G2M, and PI partners in identifying and pursuing new markets and key targets.
* Hold PI partners accountable for their actions and target development, addressing issues proactively.
* Collaborate with marketing to inform go-to-market plans and ensure effective leverage.
* Develop propositions for the PI market through collaboration with other practices, providing insights into relevant hooks for different businesses.
* Coordinate with other BD teams as needed.
* Build a sales culture within PI through communication and engagement.
* Identify and organize training needs for BD/sales/account management through coaching and firm resources.
* Assist in strategic client and target conversations with senior stakeholders.
Knowing you’re right for us:
Minimum criteria include:
* Professional services experience, ideally Big 4
* Background in BD and account management in FTSE 350
* Experience managing senior stakeholders
* Interest or knowledge of Audit (beneficial but not critical)
The role is flexible on location, with a national remit that may require travel.
Preferred skills include:
* Understanding of lead generation, sales, and client management
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Drive, initiative, and ability to work with ambiguity
* Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics)
