Tutor – Relationships Seminar

This post is based at Ruskin Mill College, Nailsworth, Nr. Stroud.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to deliver educational seminar sessions focusing on relationships, with students of mixed abilities (aged 16-25) who attend Ruskin Mill College, Nailsworth.
The main duties are:
To develop and teach the students a curriculum incorporating themes for the preparing for adulthood framework.
Developing a learning environment to support the learning needs for individual, as well as within a group.
To provide advice and mentoring on a range of issues to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
To communicate effectively with Education Health and Care Managers, students, external and internal RMT colleagues and external agencies where appropriate.
Delivering a qualification unit within the curriculum, including completing the relevant quality assurance required to complete the unit.
To be responsible for delivering teaching and training with a therapeutic and supportive approach, wherever possible linking students learning activities into processes that the Trust refer to as Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE).
To instil enthusiasm and enjoyment into the learning process in such a way that can lead to increased self-esteem and enhanced engagement in learning.
To have a good understanding of transferrable skills, to be able to teach and show how the development of transferrable skills can compliment the trusts method of Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE).
