Introduction
Would you like to join a fantastic team of carers supporting a Lady with health and support needs. I use a wheelchair but enjoy staying active and engaging in outings. I have a passion for swimming and movies. You will assist me with dressing and personal care, as well as support to access the community. Currently requiring support following her cancer diagnosis.
Hours
16 Hours spread across 7 mornings per week, with additional cover sometimes required (sickness, holiday).
Working Pattern
Monday to Sunday
7:00am – 9:00am
Plus 2 hours at a mutually convenient time.
Rate
£12.71 to £13.50 depending on experience and qualifications.
Duties
* Assistance with dressing and washing
* Personal medical care and medicine
* Support with Physio
* Support with food preparation and cooking
* Household duties
* Help with administrative tasks
* Support in accessing the community (e.g., shopping, hobbies, outings)
* Morning routine (coffee, breakfast, dressing, etc)
* Planning daily activities
* Support with medical appointments and record notes
* Support feeding and caring for her 2 black cats
Essential Requirements
* Excellent time-keeping skills
* Must be willing and able to undertake any compulsory training
* Fluent in English
* Confident to handle phone calls
* Must not be afraid of cats
* Good emotional support when attending appointments
* Open and willing to learn
Desired Requirements
* Driving licence
* Understanding of mental health
