Pathology IT Project Manager
Overview
We are looking for a Pathology IT Project Manager to lead our Pathology IT team through an exciting 12‑month period of digital change.
In this role, you will support the department while overseeing the implementation of significant, transformational digital projects that will modernise, streamline, and enhance how our laboratory services operate, ensuring smooth delivery and maximum impact.
You will develop, deliver, and maintain systems that enable effective management and analysis of laboratory data across all pathology disciplines. This position involves leading complex and specialised projects that require strong project management skills. Additionally, you will lead IT service improvements aligned with the objectives of the Trust and the West of England Pathology Network.

Responsibilities
You will provide leadership and oversight for key resources required to deliver the Pathology digital programme, including staff, equipment, consumables and workspace, ensuring these are aligned to project priorities and used efficiently.
You will play a lead role across Pathology Information Management, a key component of the role being to project manage transformational digital projects ensuring risks to the delivery are escalated appropriately and the benefits realised.
* Implementation of a shared unified patient record across the Pathology network
* Histopathology digitisation
* Upgrade of LIMS
* Upgrade of ICE order communication systems
* Build of a single electronic patient record across the three member Trusts within our ICB, BSW
