Based on the Europarc in Grimsby, Auto-Trail is around 30 minutes from Hull, Scunthorpe, Louth and Market Rasen.
The role
Due to the increased demand for type approval / homologation requirements since Brexit and within the business, we are now looking for a trainee to join our Homologation d epartment .
Reporting to the Homologation Technical Engineer, you will play an active role in both the planning and execution of the certification process. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
* Maintaining and auditing the Vehicle Approval Systems (Homologation Type Approval)
* Conducting legal evaluations of our motorhome designs
* Assisting with the engineering documentation necessary for reporting to authorities
* Ensuring product legality throughout its production lifetime
* Manage and maintain our ISO9001 (2015) accreditation
* Establishing necessary processes and databases across the company
* Keeping various departments updated on homologation requirements
* Provide regulatory guidance and interpretation for product design compliance
* L iaising with regulatory authorities and government agencies
* To prepare and maintain all necessary compliance data and documentation
* Assisting with the d eliver y of the full range of type approvals for our vehicles
* Aiding with internal and external audits
About you
* Do you have an HNC/ HND or a degree educated engineer
* C onfident, highly motivated, and possess excellent written skills
* High level of accuracy & detail as precision is key in homologation processes
* Calm character in times of high demand
* Ability to identify and solve technical issues efficiently
* Have strong com munication skills with the a bility to communicate effectively with various departments and regulatory bodies
* A dapt to changing regulations and standards
* Ability to analyse and interpret complex technical data
* W ork well in a team, as homologation often involves cross-departmental collaboration
* Be p roactive anticipating potential compliance issues
* Organised with the a bility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Resilient and d etermined, exhibiting strong commitment to seeing complex processes through to completion
