Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated field service engineer as a result of growing business and increased contract wins in the electricity industry. The role predominately involves installing and maintaining a large fleet of Condition Monitoring equipment for clients within the UK and Ireland as well as carrying out site surveys and electrical testing in air insulated and gas insulated substations. The equipment will typically be located within HV electrical compounds throughout the UK which you will be expected to travel to using company vehicle.
Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
Full training will be provided and you will be put through all thenecessary certification and accreditations required for the job which involves;
* Installation of new condition monitoring equipment including subsystems and communications
* Removal and relocation of existing systems
* Corrective maintenance
* Regular travel within UK and Ireland. May be opportunities elsewhere in future
* Manage and maintain spares and service equipment at the company premises
* Preparation of documentation and reports to support the field related work
Experience & Skills Required
* HNC or equivalent in relevant engineering background - mechanical, electrical or electronics
* Strong problem solving
* Good team player with the ability to work unsupervised.
* Effective written and verbal skills
* Self-starter with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
* Commercial awareness
* Current full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Experience working in high voltage environment preferred but not essential
* Data handling, planning, analysis and reporting skills
