Sighthill Green Medical Practice
An exciting opportunity to join a large training practice in South West of Edinburgh as part of an excellent cohesive and supportive team. Daily coffee break and lunch catch ups with regular meetings. Due to increasing list size and a vacancy arising from a Salaried Doctor leaving we are looking for a 4 session doctor. Initially salaried, with potential for partnership. We are open to interest regarding variable sessional commitment, including from GPST3s pending CCT. Competitive salary and Golden Hello payment of approx £10,900 for initial posts available.
• 10300 patients, increasing with surrounding new builds • Mixed population • South West Edinburgh • Health Centre with 2 Practices, Treatment Room (including new CTAC project), Physio, Health Visitors, District Nurses, Pharmacy, CPNs, and Midwives all on site • Training practice; GPST1/GPST2/GPST3 • 2 ANPs, Addiction and Mental Health Nurse (prescribing), experienced Practice Nurse (non-medical prescriber), Pharmacists, Community Link Worker, CHAI welfare support, CAHMS Tier 2 worker, Friendly established Admin team, Docman workflow management, Econsults. • Currently 6 Partners, 5 Salaried GPs and a GP Retainer
Close working relationships with local third sector organisations to provide innovative programmes for pain, stress and anxiety management, sleep difficulties, mental health issues, and supported physical activity classes.
Involvement in GP training - vibrant training practice
Support for developing skills in Substance Misuse, Type II Diabetes management, Minor surgery etc..
Practice covers 60 bed Nursing Home with dedicated sessions.
Start date flexible for the right candidate.
