Position Summary:
Scan Global Logistics (UK) Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic Air Import Coordinator to join a busy team in our busy Colnbrook facility.
Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities:
1. Communication with customers is paramount and keeping them updated along the way – via email and phone
2. Execute the shipment at the agreed cost and report any deviation
3. Communicate with origin office to set up shipment and monitor them
4. Provide quote, if required
5. Customs clearance (to be done following clearance instruction and ensure the direct rep. letter is held on file)
6. Bill VAT/DUTY if our deferment a/c was used
7. Add all costs to the files
8. Update milestones in BT as per department requirements
9. Billing, on time and accurately
10. PODs – ensure that all files have PODs before closing a file
11. Invoice queries
12. Cross training as required by the department
Qualifications & Skills:
13. Min 3 years air import experience
14. Boxtop or Sequioa experience would be an advantage
15. Good excel knowledge
16. Good communication skills
17. The ability to work independently and as part of a team
18. Well-organised and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
19. Good commercial awareness
20. Good at problem solving / Thinking outside of the box
21. Ability to work under pressure
22. Flexible
23. Able to ask for help, be open and seek collaboration and assistance if unsure how to handle situations/problems
