Associate Director, Strategic Advisor in Life Sciences (Lexica, Member of WSP)

A Little More About Your Role
Develop a strategic advisory capability by growing and enhancing our offering to new and existing clients across the UK and overseas in the life science sector.
Responsibilities
* Deliver professional, strategic planning and consultancy services to all clients, supporting operational leadership to achieve service excellence, quality and performance standards.
* Lead business development to grow the business and meet strategic objectives and targets.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, acting as a key account holder.
* Grow the team: recruit, line‑manage and develop a growing group of consultants.
* Deliver estate strategy and development control plans, refining client estate strategies and optimising the estate portfolio.
* Lead the business‑case process from end to end and support financial performance of accounts.
* Provide guidance, mentorship and foster a high‑performance team environment.
* Develop and respond to tenders; write proposals and white papers to enhance the firm’s reputation.
* Support the successful implementation of best practices, tailoring them to client requirements.
Qualifications
* A chartership level qualification in the built environment (architecture, engineering, FM or property).
* Recognised qualifications in Project Management, specifically strategic planning in the Life Science sector.
* Relevant experience in risk and change management in estates environments.
* Strong communication skills – verbal and written – with the ability to present at executive board level.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and visual aids (InDesign, Illustrator).
* Robust financial management skills and commercial acumen.
* Experience delivering consultancy services within the life sciences sector and estates environment, with a track record of client satisfaction.
