This company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Assembly Technician to join their dynamic team based in Stevenage. As a Panel Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality aerospace components, contributing to the company's commitment to excellence.
This is a 12 months contract that is likely to be extended.
Key Responsibilities of the Panel Assembly Technician Role:
- Consistently produce items that conform to all quality requirements in accordance with the production plan
- Work in accordance with local document systems describing methods and procedures
- Comply with standard processes, specific area requirements, and health and safety regulations
- Promote and follow clean room regulations, local area health and safety requirements, and 5S policy within the work area
- Provide input to shop floor meetings and participate in shift handover when requested
- Maintain 5S disciplines and contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Support and provide guidance to trainees within the department
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a manual handling role with demonstrated manual dexterity
- Background in a production or manufacturing environment, with regular use of hand tools
- Ability to follow procedures and work instructions/manuals with a high attention to detail
- Comfortable working to tight time frames with demanding quality requirements
- Proven experience of using own initiative and working as part of a team
- Relevant experience in carbon fibre or industries such as space, aerospace, automotive, or motor sport
- Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and procedures
- Experience of working in a clean room environment
