We are currently looking for an experienced Factory Operative to join our friendly team in Alfreton.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful Factory Operative will be responsible for operating the plant and equipment at the site to ensure budgeted targets are met or exceeded, while complying with company and legislative SHE and Quality Policies and Procedures.
The role also includes carrying out daily production data reporting and operator preventative maintenance tasks.
You will also take responsibility for:
* Ensuring adherence to health & safety rules and delivering safety and operational performance targets.
* Complying with all Tarmac Building Products Policies & Procedures.
* Supporting continuous improvement of processes, plant, and production.
* Completing operator preventative maintenance tasks effectively.
* Balancing operation and cleaning of the production line.
* Building working relationships with other production and maintenance personnel.
* Maintaining good timekeeping and flexibility.
* Ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products.
As a Factory Operative, you should demonstrate proven experience working within a similar production environment. Additionally, you should:
* Possess good communication skills and be numerate.
* Be a proficient communicator.
* Be a good team player.
* Have experience of manual handling.
* Be willing to work a 24/7 continental shift pattern (12-hour shifts averaging 42 hours per week).
