?? The Role
Mid/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | £60,000 | Crawley HQ (40% office, flexible working)
You'll be designing renewable heating systems for commercial and industrial buildings, working with cutting-edge solar thermal technology alongside heat pumps, thermal storage, and other low-carbon solutions.
What you'll do:
Design safe, reliable renewable heating systems for C&I clients
Create P&ID designs, roof layouts, and component specifications
Perform demand/generation calculations and structural analysis
Work with cross-disciplinary teams including architects and construction partners
Support client presentations and technical proposals
Contribute to product development and system improvements
?? What We're Looking For
Essential:
5-8 years M&E design engineering experience
Engineering degree or equivalent
RIBA stage 3/4 design experience
AutoCAD proficiency
HVAC/building services background
Knowledge of commercial/industrial heating and electrical standards
Client and stakeholder management experience
Desirable:
Solar/renewable energy experience
Heat pump and thermal storage knowledge
Energy modeling software skills
